What can you do in Nienburg when it rains?
In bad weather, an escape room or VR experience at Escape Nienburg is the ideal indoor activity, completely independent of the weather, at Goetheplatz 2 in the town centre. Unlike an indoor playground or bowling, you get a real experience with stories to tell.
Is it also good for a date or couples?
Yes, especially so. 60 minutes of solving puzzles together under time pressure shows you more about the other person than three evenings in a restaurant. Our recommendation for couples: Operation Pussycat or the Nienburg Dungeon, both bookable from 2 people (89 € in total).
Are we too old for this?
Definitely not. Our standard rooms work from an average group age of 14 and have no upper age limit. We've had groups in their seventies who had a great time. What matters isn't age but being willing to get into the spirit of the game.
How much does an escape room cost as a leisure activity?
From 26 € per person in Combo Mode (from 7 people). Small groups: 89 € (2 people) to 156 € (6 people) in total, and 208 € in the Detective Room for up to 8 people. Children under 10 play free in the classic rooms when accompanied by an adult, and school classes and clubs get 5 € off per person. Allow about 80 minutes for your visit, or about 90 minutes in Combo Mode.
Can we just turn up, or do we have to book?
Last-minute bookings are possible. For slots less than 72 hours before the start, you book as normal for the room you want in our room overview. These times are marked orange in the calendar (“On request”) and reach us as a request. We'll get back to you as soon as we can to say whether it works. For guaranteed slots, especially at weekends, we recommend 1-2 weeks' notice. Last-minute slots are also often listed in the slot overview.
What's the difference between an escape room and a VR escape room?
Escape room (classic): a real room with real puzzles, locks and secret compartments, you walk around and handle things. VR escape room: you put on wired VR headsets and find yourselves in a virtual world, the same puzzle logic with a different atmosphere. Most offers have up to 60 minutes of playing time and are suitable for 2 to 6 people (Detective Room 3 to 8). VR exceptions include Pyramid and Medusa for 2 or 4 people, and Escape The Worlds for 3 to 6 people with 90 to 120 minutes of playing time. Please also check the individual offer page.
