Want your next school trip in Nienburg to get the whole class excited and be educational at the same time? In an escape room your pupils solve tricky puzzles together, and learn teamwork, communication and logical thinking through play. At Escape Nienburg at Goetheplatz 2 in the town centre (about 7–10 minutes on foot from the station), with the Kids Special in the Detective Room (5 to 10 pupils) and Combo Mode for whole year-group events of up to 30 pupils. Three formats, depending on class and age
1. Small group / half class (up to 10 pupils)
A small school group plays our Detective Room Kids Special “The Mysterious Dr. Seltsam”, set up to be beginner-friendly. Ideal for support classes, differentiation lessons or small private-school classes.

2. Whole class, ages 10-13 (Kids Special and Kids Combo)
For pupils who fit the Kids Special (ages 10-13): in the Kids Combo the Detective Room (5 to 10) and the VR adventure worlds (2 to 12, Lange Straße) run in parallel, so 10 to 22 pupils play at the same time. Up to 6 play the VR adventure worlds at once; from 7 pupils the VR headsets are shared. One supervisor per room comes along free of charge.

3. School trips from age 14 (Combo Mode)
Older classes from age 14 play the standard rooms (Detective Room, Medieval Room, Cat Room) or the VR escape rooms. In Combo Mode several rooms run in parallel, and with the 4-room combo up to 30 pupils can play in one go, while we spread larger year groups over several rounds.

Frequently asked questions about the school trip
What do pupils learn in an escape room?
In an escape room teamwork, communication, logical thinking and coping with stress under time pressure are practised through play. Unlike in the classroom, there are no fixed hierarchies, so who naturally takes the lead? Who has creative ideas for solutions? This class dynamic becomes visible and can be reflected on afterwards in lessons or the class council. Especially valuable educationally for years 5-10.
How high is the school discount?
5 € off per pupil, so in Combo Mode 21 € instead of 26 € per person. One supervisor per room (form teacher, accompanying teacher) comes along free of charge.
From which year / age does it make sense?
Recommended from year 5 (10 years average age). Higher years (7-10) can also play the standard rooms. Not recommended for primary school pupils under 10.
How many pupils fit into one slot?
We handle a school class of 20-30 pupils with Combo Mode: 3-4 rooms in parallel at the same start time. With the 4-room combo, year-group events of up to 30 pupils are possible in one go, for 10 to 13-year-olds the Kids Combo for 10 to 22 pupils, and for even larger groups we plan several rounds one after another.
How many teachers or supervisors should come along?
Our recommendation: 1-2 teachers per 10-15 pupils (in line with school guidelines). One supervisor per room comes along free of charge. Teachers can either play along in the room (motivating for the class) or simply be in the room as supervisors.
How long does the school trip take in total?
About 60 minutes of pure playing time, around 80 minutes with the briefing, photo and debrief (about 90 minutes in Combo Mode). Easy to combine with lunch or a short look around Nienburg (market square, Wesertor, Fresenhof). Half a day or a full day is possible.
We’re coming from Bremen or Hannover, how do we get there?
Bremen is 60 km and Hannover 50 km away, both about 45 min by car. Coaches reach us without any trouble, with public parking nearby. Nienburg station is about a 7–10 minute walk from Goetheplatz, easy to manage with a group of pupils.
How do we book as a school?
You can simply book online yourselves through the list of available slots, no email needed. We deduct the school discount on the day when you show suitable proof. If you would rather ask first, drop us a quick line at info@escape-nienburg.de with: school name, class size, preferred date, year group. We check availability, block the rooms and send you a written confirmation with the school's billing address. We recommend 2-4 weeks' notice.
