Three formats for different birthday group sizes
1. Detective Room Special, up to 10 children
Our Kids Special in the Detective Room for 5 to 10 children (ages 10-14): the room is adapted and simplified for kids, so they can solve most of the puzzles on their own. A child-friendly introduction, age-appropriate detective puzzles, then a photo to celebrate. At least 5 children are charged.

2. VR for kids, Jungle Quest and Christmas
Several child-friendly VR worlds for groups of kids aged 10 and over at Lange Straße 27, for example Jungle Quest (a friendly world with exotic animals and floating islands) and Christmas (save Father Christmas). 2 to 6 children, 60 minutes of playing time. For children under 16, an adult supervisor is required; for VR they get in free as long as they only watch.

3. Kids Combo, big class birthday of 10-22 children
If the whole class or a wider circle of friends is coming: in the Kids Combo you play the Kids Special in the Detective Room (5 to 10 children, Goetheplatz) and the VR adventure worlds (2 to 12 children, Lange Straße), everyone starting at the same time, from 10 up to 22 children. Up to 6 children play the VR adventure worlds at the same time; from 7 children the VR headsets are shared. Works especially well for class birthdays in years 5 to 8.

From what age can children celebrate their birthday with you?
Our Kids Special in the Detective Room is designed especially for children aged 10 to 14, with age-appropriate puzzles that challenge without overwhelming. Individual children under 10 are possible if one-to-one supervision by adults is guaranteed. The puzzles are then often too hard to solve independently.
How many children can join the birthday party?
In the Kids Special Detective Room, 5 to 10 children per room (1 supervisor free of charge, at least 5 children are charged). From 10 children you play the Detective Room (5 to 10) and the VR adventure worlds (2 to 12) in parallel in the Kids Combo, up to 22 children. In the VR adventure worlds the VR headsets are shared from 7 children.
Do parents or a supervisor have to be there?
For groups of children under 16, a supervisor is required. With the Kids Special one accompanying adult is free, and for VR too as long as they only watch; with a regular escape room booking they pay the normal price. The supervisor is in the room with the kids and only steps in if needed. The kids mostly solve the puzzles themselves, which is often cooler for them.
How much does a children's birthday cost?
From 26 € per child: in the Kids Special, 5 children cost 135 € in total; from 6 children it's 26 € per child (6 children 156 €, 8 children 208 €, 10 children 260 €). One supervisor comes along free of charge. In the Kids Combo it's 26 € per child. Gift tip: vouchers are a lovely alternative to a classic birthday present, available in the online shop or at reception.
Can we bring birthday cake or snacks?
In the entrance/waiting area you can briefly cut a cake or eat snacks; we have a small table and a few chairs for that. The area isn't set up for a long party with lingering, unwrapping presents or a full cake table. For that we recommend cafés in the town centre nearby.
How long does a children's birthday with you last?
The escape room block takes about 80 minutes (15 min child-friendly introduction + 60 min playing time + photo and debrief). In total, plan on about 1.5-2 hours with us. For the party afterwards with cake and presents, the best option is a café or restaurant in the centre.
We’re coming from Bremen or Hannover, is it worth the trip?
Definitely, for a weekend on the Mittelweser or a day trip. Bremen 60 km, Hannover 50 km, 45 min by car from each. Nienburg station is about a 7–10 minute walk away. Often combined with Mittelweser activities or an overnight stay.
How much notice do we need for booking?
Standard bookings work directly online via the slot overview. For weekend slots (especially Saturday afternoon at peak time) we recommend 1-2 weeks' notice. Cancellations are free up to 48 hours before your slot.
