Three formats for different birthday sizes
1. Small group, close circle of friends (2-6 people)
The standard format for your closest friends on your birthday: one room, 60 minutes of playing time, then a group photo of your success. Perfect before going to a restaurant together or as a warm-up for the birthday evening.

2. Medium-sized group, a birthday with a circle of friends (7-20 people)
When the wider circle of friends comes along: 2-room or 3-room Combo Mode with 2-3 rooms in parallel. Everyone starts at the same time, each team plays its own adventure, and at the end you compare your times, perfect with a little bet between the teams.

3. Large group, a milestone birthday (20-30 people)
When the whole family + colleagues + friends are there: 4-room Combo Mode with up to 4 rooms in parallel. With the 4-room combo, milestone birthdays of up to 30 people can play in one go. The highest combo participant numbers are exceptional capacities with less space per person. Regular limits for individual room bookings remain unchanged.

From what age is a birthday at Escape Nienburg recommended?
Our standard rooms are recommended from 14 years (average age of the group). For children under 14, our children's birthday page is the right one, as it has its own Kids Special. There's no upper age limit for adult birthdays.
How many people can join a birthday?
In a single room, 2 to 6 people (3 to 8 in the Detective Room). With Combo Mode, 7 to 30 people play in parallel, and with the 4-room combo, milestone birthdays of up to 30 people can play in one go.
What does a birthday at Escape Nienburg cost?
In Combo Mode, 26 € per person. Smaller groups in one room: 89 € (2 people) to 156 € (6 people), and 208 € in the Detective Room for up to 8 people. Pay individually or via a group kitty. The birthday child gets a little surprise afterwards.
Can we bring cake or sparkling wine?
In the entrance / waiting area you can cut a cake or hand round sparkling wine for a toast, and we have a small table and a few chairs for that. The area isn't set up for a long celebration where you linger, so for that we recommend cafés and restaurants in the town centre. No food or drink in the game room itself.
Which room is good for adult birthdays?
Our standard tip: the Detective Room (medium difficulty, a good story) or the Nienburg Dungeon (easy to medium, medieval atmosphere). Operation Pussycat for tech-minded birthday groups. VR escape rooms if you want something out of the ordinary, with up to 6 people at the same time in the virtual world.
We’re coming from Bremen or Hannover, is the trip worth it for a birthday?
Definitely. Nienburg sits right between Bremen (60 km, 45 min by car) and Hannover (50 km, 45 min by car). Nienburg station is about a 7–10 minute walk away. Many birthday groups from both cities choose Nienburg as a calmer alternative, a weekend on the Mittelweser with the escape room as the highlight.
How much notice for the booking?
For up to 30 people or without special requests, book directly online via the dates overview, and standard bookings often work at short notice. For weekend evening slots we recommend 1-2 weeks' notice. With special requests (large group, restaurant coordination), feel free to write to info@escape-nienburg.de, we're happy to reply. Cancellation is free up to 48h before your slot.
